Thanks.

Thanks for friends.
And e-mail
and phones.

Thanks for fresh perspective
And thanks for friends
and call waiting.

Thanks for patience.
And spontaneity
and spellcheck.

Thanks for get well cards.
And apologies for not bringing soup
and bringing Peeps instead.

Thanks for love.
And the emotion it brings
and the emotion it takes.

Thanks for things being hard.
And the doubt it brings
and the self trust it forces up.

Thanks for the band Califone.
And for JB in NJ
and her beautiful taste in music.

Thanks for lamb chops.
And how little they are
and how smokey they are to broil.

Thanks for midnight.
And its signification of late
and its reminder that morning comes.

Thanks for life.

HURRAY!!!

All the evil and vile thoughts I had about ten minutes ago have been temporarily replaced by beams of joy.

I have wireless internet again!

The gods of computing are smiling warmly upon me.

Thanks to the nice man at Apple Care.

The fix was elegant and simple.

So simple that I didn't even realize it was an option when I was trouble shooting (I've been poking at this for about a month now).

Lesson learned: When a customer support service has hours of 8:00 am C.S.T - 8:00 pm C.S.T, call at 8:45 E.S.T. for the shortest hold times.

Thanks for Nothing (or Very Little)

Oh, this is just fucking absurd.

I've been looking forward to my income tax refund for months now.

I've mentally already spent it.

For the past two years my refund has been over $1000.

I just did my taxes.

My refund: $62.00.

What the goddamn hell is that?

That is a pair of shoes (maybe two), not a mountain bike.

It's not even a garment bag pannier that I've been looking forward to.

Oh fucking hell.

This makes me mad.

They Will Google It.

Todays winners of misdirected search engine searches are below.

My man loves strap ons
ways to fuck with candy
+"tattooed penis"

I'm pretty sure the person who came to |now candy| in search of ways to fuck with candy was sorely disappointed. The other two searchers were also likely unsatisfied.

Besides, if you are going to search for strap-on related topics, you should at least hyphenate properly.

Monday Comes Fast.

It's happened again.

Infatuation.

It's not a bad thing. It's a sign of someone who will be a close and long friend. But in the beginning I just can't get enough.

Maybe it's just part of being an extravert, but nothing would make me happier than if "New Friend" days were allowed at work. You know, like sick days, family days, vacation days, &etc. You get x many of said days a month or year. New Friend days would be days you could take to hang out with new friends. Call the boss in the morning and say, "Yeah, I met a new friend and I'm taking today to drink coffee with this new friend and help hang track lighting. Yeah, I'll be in tomorrow."

Note to self: next job needs more flexible hours.
